ABOUT LIL KEY

Keon “Lil Key” Myers is a teen hip hop artist from Baltimore City starring in the reality series “The Rap Game Season 2” Reality TV Show produced in Atlanta, GA by music moguls Jermaine Dupri and Queen Latifah. Lil Key and the other emerging youth hip hop artists of “The Rap Game Season 2” Reality TV Show received professional musical mentoring from experts such as Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg, Timbaland, Flo Rida, Nelly, Bow Wow, Monica, DaBrat, and producers Mike Kalombo, Zaytoven and Bryan- Michael Cox. Lil Key is the first teen hip hop artist from Baltimore to become a star and national brand on a successful and popular reality television series. “The Rap Game Season 2” Reality TV Show aired on the Lifetime TV network on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 10PM EST.

Keon Myers, also known as Lil Key, is a talented inspirational rap artist from Baltimore Md. He is a scholarly student and always maintains really good grades. He loves spending time with his family and participating in extracurricular activities such as swimming, playing the drums, football and basketball. He has a passion for writing, rapping and recording music. In his spare time from studying and playing sports, Lil Key is in the recording studio creating catchy and inspirational lyrics to some of the hottest beats. The best part about his songs is that they are appropriate for all age groups. Lil Key says "Rap can be defined as the freedom of words. I use my words to inspire, encourage and entertain people. I am confident and battle tested because of where I come from, because of my roots. I rep for my city. I am Baltimore."

In spite of his right arm birth injury, Brachial Plexus, Lil Key continually strives to succeed above and beyond his expected capacity, and is a great example and role model for all youth and adults to follow. Lil Key’s music CDs "Key Mix", “My Life” and “Key 2 Success: My Life Vol. 2” contain great songs with inspiring lyrics such as “Backpack Flow”, “Champion”, “Struggle”, “Foam City” and “Thank You”. Lil Key premiered his new video "Love To Hate Me" on Yahoo.com on Friday, February 5, 2016.

Lil Key is recognized for having "the mind of a leader and the heart of a lion". He has positively impacted and changed the lives of people with his music. Lil Key is also committed to engaging in community service and empowering the youth in partnership with a variety of entities to include city/state officials, community and non-profit agencies. Baltimore City has been in the national spotlight on numerous occasions for social and economic challenges, community disconnection and an array of disparity, however, Lil Key believes that his music helps unite the city and shows the citizens how they can support each other’s positive strides in life and work towards Baltimore becoming a better and safer place to live in and or visit. Lil Key became a Brand Ambassador for the locally based retailer, Shoe City, in November 2014 and prides himself on upholding the mission of the company each day in the words and action he exhibits to people face to face and online.

Lil Key performs at over 100 community events per year, with the majority happening during the Summer months. Several of his community/volunteer contributions and performances included: The Speak Life Tour; The Baltimore Boxing Renaissance III; Empowering Minds of MD’s Youth (EMMY); The Youth Bmore Summer Block Party; Why Women Cry VIII 2013 with BET’s Marcus Canty; Priceless Gown Project; The Annual Bullying Conference; The 92Q Teen Summit 2012 at Mondawmin Mall with Mario; Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake’s Back To School Rally; Day of Hope East and West and volunteering at The Bea Gaddy Family Center. He has also received several Certificates of Recognition from Mayor Rawlings-Blake and city/state officials.
